Stable Block

South of the entrance gates, a handsome pair of brick gate piers opens into a yard with the old stable block at the far side. This is in melancholy condition now but is almost certainly an early 18th century building too. Several new openings have been cut in the ground floor, obscuring the original design but inside the position of the stalls and loose boxes can still be discerned.

The grounds have been included as Grade II in the Department of the Environment register of historic parks and gardens.
