Broomfield House burnt down the night before I married, we backed onto broomfield park. I can still remember saying to my mum broomfield house is burning down, she would not believe what I was saying. We all watched it burn. It was a sad time. For me it had many memories, one or two being the big map and the bee hive, of course anyone who had been in the house will remember the murals, they were impressive even as a child. It still can't believe it has not been restored in 22 years.
