Recent Achievements

-The new website was re-launched in September full of the latest news, photo galleries, and facts from the past, present and most importantly what lies ahead for Broomfield in the future. It is a fully interactive site, which to this date 17^th November 2005 has had over 30,000 hits since first being re-launched at the end of August.

-Broomfield Historic Buildings Trust on behalf of the Broomfield House Task Force and Enfield Council has recently submitted a Project Planning Grant (PPG) for feasibility funding support from the Heritage Lottery Fund (£29,500). Subject to agreement of the Heritage Lottery Board various exercises will be undertaken in the New Year.

-Enfield Council has been approached by potential developers/investors in the last 6 months. However, officers have identified that their proposals do not satisfy the overall aspirations of the Council or our partners in delivering a community based sustainable solution for the restoration programme. The option remains to speak with potential investors as long as they can demonstrate an understanding of the community constraints of the Broomfield Restoration plan.
